The Suzuki FH-250 was built in March 1974 at the Nagoya Suzuki Violin factory. Suzuki began as a violin maker in the late 19th century and applied their woodworking expertise to guitars in the 1960s. This FH-250 has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, a common but effective combination for warm, balanced tone. The adjustable saddle bridge allows precise action setup. After 50 years, the tonewoods have aged, resulting in a dry, warm, resonant voice with strong projection. Original stylized pickguard and multi-ply body purfling.

Sound and Tone
The aged spruce top and mahogany back and sides produce a dry, warm tone with strong projection. The guitar has had over 50 years to open up naturally.
 
Feel and Playability
The neck is straight and the frets show almost no wear. The adjustable saddle allows easy action adjustments. The guitar plays well and feels comfortable in hand.
 
Condition
Body has minor surface scratching and light wear across sides and back. One noticeable deep cosmetic chip on the lower front face. Frets excellent with almost no wear. Headstock has moderate wear on horns. Original tuning machines relocated with mounting holes exposed.
