Greco EG-800 Standard, 1979 (Japan)

This is a 1979 Greco EG-800 Standard in a killer Cherry Sunburst finish, fresh out of the legendary FujiGen factory in August of '79, and it is absolute magic.
 
Unlike the cheaper copies floating around, this beauty features a proper set-neck construction, a beautiful aged cream body binding, and a genuine, thick carved maple cap over a solid mahogany body. The cherry sunburst finish on the top is absolutely pristine, showing off that maple cap beautifully. Flip it over and the back has just a little bit of wear from being played, which honestly gives it that perfect, authentic vintage character.
 
Take a look down the neck and you'll see a gorgeous, dark rosewood fretboard fitted with classic trapezoid inlays and actual fret-edge binding. Best of all, it has zero fretwear, the frets are perfectly clean, level, and ready for another 45 years of playing. Everything down to the solid, reliable vintage hardware feels rock solid and built to last.
But man, the real magic happens when you plug it in. The sound out of this thing is unbelievable, largely thanks to that premium maple cap balancing out the warm mahogany body to give you the ultimate classic rock tone. Those original Maxon-made humbucker pickups deliver rich, fat tone, with incredible clarity and sustain. It does everything from smooth, warm bluesy cleans on the neck to absolute singing, harmonic-rich growl on the bridge.
 
If you want a killer vintage LP that looks gorgeous, sounds like an absolute monster, and won't break the bank, then this could be the guitar for you. This won't be up for long.
