Fender Stratocaster, 1979, Sunburst
A 1979 Fender Stratocaster in 3-Tone Sunburst, made at Fender's Fullerton, California factory. Solid ash body under a gloss polyester finish, hard rock maple neck with a walnut skunk stripe and bullet-style truss rod adjustment. Oversized CBS-era headstock, 3-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt adjustment, and the vintage 7.25" fretboard radius across 21 medium frets.
Three original single-coil pickups with grey-bottom flatwork bobbins, and F-stamped chrome tuning keys. Serial S935705 carries the S9 prefix, consistent with 1979-1981 production, Fender's own dating charts don't narrow it further than that by serial alone.
Clean cosmetic condition overall. No visible dents, chips or blemishes on the body's top and sides. The underside of the body has some slight, localised roughness to the touch. The neck is clean with no fret wear. Hardware shows only minor oxidation consistent with its age.
