Yamaha SGV-300, 2000 (Taiwan)
This 2000 Yamaha SGV-300 is in great condition, with no fretwear at all across its rosewood fingerboard, so it plays flawlessly right out of the box.
If you're tired of the same old Strat and Tele shapes, the solid alder asymmetrical offset body and iconic "hockey stick" headstock, fitted with enclosed chrome die-cast tuners, will instantly set you apart on stage. It's finished in Yamaha's original Sonic Blue, a genuine factory colour from this run and a highly sought-after one on the collector market.
The real magic is under the hood. At first glance it looks like a simple two-pickup setup: a single-coil at the neck and what appears to be a humbucker at the bridge. That bridge unit is actually a dual single-coil configuration using Yamaha's original ferrite single-coils, paired with a clever blender knob (alongside the master volume, master tone, and 3-way toggle switch) that lets you dial from a spanky, bitey single-coil jangle all the way into a fat, punchy humbucker tone. The hardware is just as considered: a smooth Yamaha roller tremolo tailpiece, fully functional with the included original whammy bar, paired with an individually adjustable roller saddle bridge for serious vibrato expressiveness without sacrificing tuning stability.
Freshly set up with clean electronics and ready to gig. Snag an iconic piece of guitar history in one of its coolest factory colours before someone else does!
