Solace Southern Deluxe, Colonial White (2026)

This Solace Southern Deluxe is something else entirely. Serial number 0117, finished in a gorgeous, translucent Colonial White satin that lets the American swamp ash grain show right through, it's in absolutely immaculate, mint condition, not a mark on it. The body is fully chambered, bringing the weight down to a featherlight 3.15kg, and it feels nimble and resonant against your ribs the moment you strap it on.

The craftsmanship coming out of the Solace workshop is top-tier. It's built on a Telecaster-style double-cutaway body, with Solace's own crest set into the headstock, a deeply contoured neck heel for effortless upper-fret access, and a Gotoh through-body hardtail bridge. The hand-carved, 3-ply Koru pickguard echoes New Zealand, and the back carries Solace's signature Southern Cross stud pattern.

It's loaded with a pair of custom, New Zealand-wound Mr Glyn 'Sassy' P90 pickups, run through quality pots and an Orange Drop capacitor on a 3-way blade switch. Combined with that airy, chambered ash body, the tone is well balanced: punchy P90 midrange warmth with a crisp top end that cuts through a mix without turning harsh, whether you're playing clean or pushing a tube amp into overdrive.

The neck is a tempered Canadian maple in a modern C profile, topped with a rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, a 9.5-inch radius and 25.5-inch scale. Stainless steel medium jumbo frets, a bone nut, and aged Gotoh tuners round it out. This isn't a mass-produced guitar, it's a boutique build from Solace's Marlborough workshop, looking and playing exactly like it did the day it left the bench.
