Martin 00-18, 2023 (USA)
This Martin 00-18 is a joy to play. Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, you get a true fullness in the bottom end that balances out nicely against a sweet top end. The Grand Concert body and 24.9" short scale feel comfortable and well-balanced in your hands, with the clarity and note separation that makes this shape a favourite among fingerstyle players.
The neck feels familiar in hand, a Modified Low Oval profile with Martin's High Performance Taper, fast and comfortable the whole way up the solid ebony fingerboard. The shorter scale keeps the tension a touch looser than a standard 25.4" scale Martin. Action is low and even right across the board, it's an easy, inviting guitar to just pick up and settle into.
It's in extremely good condition and has clearly been well looked after, with no fret wear at all. There is some binding repair to note, but beyond that, it's in mint condition.
