Fender Stratocaster '57 Reissue, 2002 (Japan)

This 2002 Fender '57 Reissue Stratocaster (ST57) was Crafted in Japan during the CIJ line's golden 2002 to 2004 run, finished in a striking, vibrant Candy Apple Red that still pops under stage lights. These early 2000s CIJ models give any USA standard a serious run for its money.
 
Built with Fender Japan's legendary precision, it pairs a solid body with a comfortable, correct-for-the-era one-piece maple neck and matching maple fingerboard. The neck and headstock carry a gorgeous amber-toned aged lacquer finish that gives it a premium, Custom Shop feel straight out of the case.
 
The front is dressed in a classic single-ply white scratchplate that pops against the deep red metallic gloss, loaded with the original Fender Japan single-coil trio. They deliver all the glassy spank, chime, and bluesy neck-pickup warmth you'd want to cut through a live mix.
 
Overall the guitar is in great condition. The 21 period-correct frets show no signs of wear, so it plays smooth right across the board with next to no time on it. There's one honest scratch on the front of the body to report, but otherwise it's a real looker with plenty of genuine era charm. The hardware is rock solid too, from the synchronised 6-saddle tremolo bridge to the Kluson-style tuners, holding tune like a champ. Freshly set up and gig-ready, this '57 Reissue punches well above its price point.
