Fender Japan Stratocaster ST57-65AS '57 Reissue | 1994 40th Ann Foto Flame

Built at Fender Japan's FujiGen Gakki factory in 1994 as part of the limited 40th Anniversary Series, this ST57-65AS gets its flamed look from Fender's "Foto Flame" process, a vacuum-sealed photographic laminate of figured maple grain over a plain maple neck, so it has the vintage '57 look without an actual figured maple neck underneath. The alder body and vintage-style Alnico single-coils give it a bright, articulate Stratocaster voice, and while the Q-prefix serial sits in a range Fender Japan reused twice, the "Made in Japan" decal confirms this is the earlier 1993 to 1994 batch consistent with the anniversary run. It's honestly worn from real playing, with small nicks and buckle rash around the body and one finish chip under the headstock logo, but the Foto Flame neck itself remains clean with no fretwear.
