1994 Fender Japan ST57-65AS '57 Reissue Stratocaster for sale, built at the FujiGen Gakki factory as part of the limited 40th Anniversary Series. Solid alder body in 2-Tone Sunburst.
 
Maple neck with the "Foto Flame" finish — a vacuum-sealed photographic laminate of figured maple grain over a plain maple neck and integrated fretboard, giving the look of flamed maple without an actual figured maple neck. 7.25" vintage radius, 21 vintage-style frets.
 
Three vintage-style Alnico single-coil pickups, 5-way selector. Vintage-style synchronised tremolo bridge, split-post Kluson-style tuners. Cream plastics have aged naturally, and the neck plate is engraved for the anniversary edition. 3.3kg. Gig bag included.
 
The serial number (Q024586) sits in a range Fender Japan used twice — 1993–94 for "Made in Japan" instruments, and again in 2002–04 for "Crafted in Japan" instruments. This guitar's "Made in Japan" decal confirms it's the earlier batch, consistent with the 40th Anniversary Series.

Sound and Tone
Alder body and vintage-style Alnico single-coils deliver a classic Stratocaster voice — bright and articulate, with the balanced output typical of vintage-spec pickups.
 
Feel and Playability
7.25" vintage radius neck feel. The Foto Flame neck is very clean and free of fretwear. Lightweight at 3.3kg.
 
Condition
Good structural condition with cosmetic wear consistent with a played instrument. Front face has only minor surface blemishes; bottom sides show a number of small nicks and dents from handling. Back of the top horn has some minor buckle rash and light finish pitting. The Foto Flame neck remains very clean with no fretwear. Headstock has one notable finish chip under the "F" in the Fender logo, but is structurally sound.
