Fender Japan Stratocaster ST43 STD | 2002-2004 MIJ
Made at Fender Japan's Dyna Gakki plant in the early 2000s, this ST43 STD pairs a basswood body, generally the warmer, softer-voiced of Fender's timber options, with ceramic single-coils that push back the other way, brighter and higher output than a typical Alnico Strat pickup, for a versatile, everyday Stratocaster voice. The slim modern C neck with its flatter 9.8" radius makes wide bends noticeably easier than a vintage-radius board, and at 3.2kg it's an easy guitar to play for long stretches. It shows honest scuffs and marks from regular use across the body, but the neck and fretboard are very clean.
