Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster "Blackie", 2014 (USA)

This 2014 Eric Clapton Signature Strat presents in immaculate, mint condition, with zero fretwear anywhere on the frets. The only mark on the whole guitar is one tiny blemish on the top edge near the upper horn.
 
The alder body wears a deep black finish, paired with a soft "V" profile maple neck bolted on in classic Fender fashion. Black Micarta dot inlays run cleanly down the maple fingerboard, and the neck shape gives plenty to dig into for big, soulful bends. The frets are essentially unplayed, so it glides smoothly right up and down the register.
 
The vintage-style tremolo is blocked off with wood straight from the factory, exactly how Clapton keeps his own, and is paired with vintage-style tuners for strong sustain and rock-solid tuning stability.
 
Electronics are factory stock: three Fender Vintage Noiseless single-coils deliver that classic, glassy Strat chime with none of the usual single-coil hum. Roll up the active 25dB mid-boost circuit and it pushes straight into thick, humbucker-style territory, while the TBX tone circuit takes you from delicate blues licks to soaring lead tones with a twist of the knob.
 
It's been fitted with road-ready strap locks, though the original factory strap buttons are included in the case. The original tweed hard case and all the factory paperwork come with it too, a genuine time capsule from the Corona factory.
