The 2005 Epiphone Dot CH is a semi-hollow electric guitar built at the DaeWon factory in China . This Epiphone Dot CH features a laminated maple body with a solid centre block and a high-gloss cherry finish. The Dot CH is Epiphone's version of the classic ES-335 design, offering semi-hollow warmth with feedback-resistant construction. The 57CH pickups are Alnico V humbuckers wax-potted for reduced microphonics . The slim D-shaped neck profile provides comfortable playability for both rhythm and lead work .

Sound and Tone
The 57CH humbuckers produce warm, full tone with a smooth high-end roll-off characteristic of brass-covered pickups . The semi-hollow maple body adds acoustic resonance and air, while the centre block prevents feedback at higher volumes. Suitable for blues, rock, jazz and indie.
 
Feel and Playability
The slim D-shaped maple neck is smooth and fast. No visible fretwear ensures clean playability across the rosewood fingerboard. Lightweight 3.7kg body reduces shoulder fatigue. The 24.75" scale provides familiar Gibson-style feel.
 
Condition
Excellent, highly playable condition for a 20-year-old instrument. Frets are in fantastic shape with no visible wear. Cherry finish shows minor signs of wear: light surface swirling and faint handling marks. Small dent on bottom face of body near input jack, purely cosmetic. No structural issues. Well-cared-for example.
 
Background
The Epiphone Dot was introduced in the late 1990s as an affordable alternative to the Gibson ES-335. The "CH" designation indicates Cherry finish. The DW serial prefix confirms production at the DaeWon factory in China . These mid-2000s Chinese-built Dots are known for good build quality and value.
