Burny RLC-60, 1980s (Japan)
This 1980s Burny RLC-60 is a Japanese-made Les Paul Custom from Fernandes' Burny line, unofficially dubbed the "Randy Rhoads" for its likeness to his early Gibson. It's fitted with the original Burny VH-1 humbuckers, the same PAF-style pickup Burny used on its higher-spec Les Paul Customs through the 80s, giving a warm, vintage-voiced output with plenty of sustain from the mahogany body and maple cap.
Finished in cream/ivory with matching cream binding on the body and neck, it's offset by a black batwing pickguard and the classic split-diamond pearl inlay on the headstock. It's built from a solid mahogany body with a carved maple top and a set mahogany neck, with pearloid block inlays running up the rosewood fretboard across 22 frets.
It's in good overall condition for its age, with a few dents and marks consistent with decades of use. There's a visible line down the centre of the back, most likely from natural timber movement at the joint rather than anything structural, and a couple of small chips along the top edge of the headstock. The gold-plated tuners, bridge, tailpiece and pickup covers all show the light, even tarnishing you'd expect after this long. The frets show zero wear, and the action is excellent, playing smooth and easy all the way up the neck. It comes in at 4.68kg.
