Yamaha SG1000 | 1982 Made in Japan

Built in 1982 at Yamaha's Nippon Gakki plant, this SG1000 has earned the nickname “Les Paul Killer” for its heavy, resonant mahogany build and long sustain. The Cherry Sunburst finish has aged well, and the ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl split block inlays plays with real snap and clarity. Push-push tone knobs split the Alnico V humbuckers into single-coil mode for extra versatility without any modification, and the front face and headstock remain exceptionally clean, with deeper scratches and a few small lacquer chips on the sides and lower back from honest use.
