Yamaha Luxury Series L-10 - MIJ - 1980s

Yamaha's Luxury, or "L", Series ran from 1975 to 1986, hand-crafted at the Nippon Gakki plant purely for the Japanese domestic market to compete with American-made Martins, which makes examples like this L-10 uncommon outside Japan. It's an all-solid build, with a solid Ezo spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides and an African mahogany neck feeding into an ebony fingerboard with distinctive snowflake inlays and an ebony bridge, a combination that's grown genuinely resonant over its lifetime. A recent fret dress has left it playing beautifully with an excellent low action, and it's in great condition overall for its age, with just a few nicks and grazes to the bottom of the top and a thin mark on the side. Comes with its hard case.
