Orville by Gibson Les Paul Standard Quilted Maple | 1992 Made in Japan

Orville by Gibson was the premium tier of Gibson's Japanese-licensed line through the late 1980s and 1990s, positioned above the regular Orville badge and, on models like this LPS-QM, fitted with genuine USA Gibson pickups straight from the factory. Built at the respected Terada factory in 1992, it pairs a bookmatched solid quilted maple top over mahogany with a pair of Gibson '57 Classic PAF humbuckers, giving it warm, articulate neck tones and dynamic, punchy bridge tones with authentic vintage PAF character. The classic 24.75" scale and set mahogany neck offer the traditional Les Paul feel, and at 4.3kg it has the substantial, resonant weight players expect. It's in good condition with honest play wear: the original scratch plate is missing, there's buckle rash on the back and some pitting and dents on the front, plus light fret wear, but it's currently set up and playing beautifully.
