Gibson L-48 – 1962

This 1962 Gibson L-48 is a golden-age archtop that's genuinely hard to find in this condition, with rich, straight-grained mahogany across the top, back and sides that gives it a bright, articulate, highly responsive voice. The early '60s neck carries a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, and the L-48 ink stamp is still visible inside the upper F-hole. It's been refretted but otherwise left untouched, keeping its honest history intact, with all-original hardware showing only light, era-appropriate tarnish, and the body in exceptional cosmetic condition, though it may have had a top coat respray at some point. It sounds and plays beautifully, with smooth, easy action strung in flatwounds, and comes with its hard case.
