Music Man StingRay EX MIJ models were produced in the late 1990s. USA parts were shipped to Japan for assembly by Kanda Shokai, a major musical instrument wholesaler and one of the two companies behind Fender Japan. Kanda Shokai contracted with the ESP factory to build the EX series. The basses were intended for the Japanese domestic market only. The EX series combines American electronics with Japanese craftsmanship.

Music Man StingRay EX MIJ delivers classic punch with the USA alnico humbucker and 3-band EQ. Ash body adds snap. The mute pads are adjustable via hex screws. Classic Motown and 70s funk sound.
 
Feel and Playability:
34" scale. 6-bolt neck joint for stability. No fretwear. Smooth playing experience across the entire fretboard. The satin finish on the back of the neck keeps your hand moving freely. Well-balanced.
 
Condition:
No fretwear. Hardware has no rust. Finish clean with a few tiny marks. Great shape for a almost 30yo bass.
