Mozztronics HW-1 wHo Watt British Amp Emulation Pedal
Mozztronics HW-1 wHo Watt British Amp Emulation Pedal, Pete Townshend amp emulation pedal
Based on a 1960s British amp used by Pete Townshend. Full 3-band EQ. Sparkle to raucous gain. Hand made in Australia.
There are a few iconic valve guitar amps that Mozztronics adore. Apart from the British 800 series amps, the AC30, and an American '59 bass amp loved by guitar players, the other is a British amp from the 1960s used by The Who guitarist Pete Townshend.
This pedal is not a dirt pedal as such—it is their emulation of this classic amp.
To do full justice to the original amp, and to get maximum tone versatility, the full 3-knob tone stack is included. A single tone control was not going to cut it with this pedal.
As with the amplifier this pedal replicates, at lower gain settings you get the sparkle these amps are known and loved for. Turn the gain up for added raucousness.
