This 2005 Gibson USA SG Reissue Bass captures the classic aesthetic of the 1960s EB-3. The short 30.5" scale makes it extremely comfortable for players with smaller hands or those transitioning from guitar. The double-cutaway mahogany body provides resonance and reduced weight. The high-output TB Plus neck humbucker delivers punchy rock tone, while the bridge mini-humbucker adds clarity and bite. Modern 3-knob layout (2 Volume, 1 Tone) keeps controls simple.

Sound and Tone
The TB Plus neck humbucker delivers classic Gibson thump with punchy midrange. The bridge mini-humbucker adds articulation and bite. The short scale and mahogany construction provide warm, focused low end.
Feel and Playability
The 30.5" short scale reduces string tension and finger stretch, making it comfortable for guitarists or players with smaller hands. No fretwear ensures smooth playability across the board. Lightweight 3.4kg mahogany body reduces fatigue.
Condition
Great functional shape. Fretboard has no fretwear. Hardware is pristine. Mahogany body shows minor blemishes across front, back and sides consistent with age, including one prominent dent on the back. Headstock has typical cosmetic aging around tuning pegs. Original tuners replaced with upgraded machine heads. Solid, road-ready instrument. Plays like new.

The Gibson EB-3 was introduced in the 1960s as a short scale alternative to the EB-0. This 2005 USA reissue features modern updates including the TB Plus pickup and simplified 3-knob control layout while retaining the classic SG body shape and short scale playability.
