Fender Stratocaster STS-550, Black (Pro Feel Series, Made in Japan)

Made in Japan in 1993, this guitar was part of Fender’s Pro Feel collection—built for players who wanted specifications the reissue lines didn’t offer. This one’s a short-scale Strat, with a compact poplar body finished in gloss black, bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret maple fingerboard, a 610mm (24") scale length and a 39mm nut. A great-feeling, great-sounding little lump of wood, with plenty of character. At 3.1kg, it’s light in the hands, too.
 
Three single-coil pickups, a 5-way selector, master volume and tone, and an Endrox tremolo system, all appears original. Good condition for its age, a small ding on the front is the only mark of note, and frets show only minimal wear. Neck's straight and the truss rod works as it should. Fully set up and serviced before going on the floor, ready to play.
