Fender USA Highway One Stratocaster 2003
This 2003 Fender USA Highway One Stratocaster is a genuine first-generation example, from the original 2002-2005 run of a series that stayed in production for a decade before Fender replaced it with the American Special line in 2011. It's finished in the thin, factory satin nitrocellulose lacquer the series became known for, a genuine point of difference from the thicker polyurethane gloss most production Strats get. It's fitted with a Modern "C" neck profile and a maple fretboard, giving it a fast, responsive feel. Tonally it's bright with that quintessential Strat character, punchy and immediate, driven by the stock USA-made vintage-style single-coil pickups.
The neck is straight, with pristine jumbo frets and clean, fret-wear-free playability throughout. The vintage-style six-screw synchronised tremolo bridge and hardware are all original.
