Fender Mustang MG69 Reissue, 1993-94 (Made in Japan)
This Fender Mustang MG69 reissue was built in Japan in 1993-94. The Vintage White finish has aged into a creamy, custard-white tone, and the pickup covers have discoloured to match it. It's paired with a red tortoiseshell pickguard. It landed right in that early-90s offset boom, when these short-scale Fenders were back in fashion. The 24" short scale and dual single-coil pickups give it a lighter, snappier feel than a standard Stratocaster, and each pickup has its own independent 3-position slide switch rather than a single master selector, giving seven distinct tonal combinations from just the two pickups. It's nicely set up, plays really nice, with a super smooth feel and a straight neck. All the electronics are tested and working.
There's a small dent on the back edge near the strap pin; otherwise the body, neck and hardware show no other marks. Fret wear is minimal, and the Dynamic Vibrato bridge and original-style hardware are clean and still look new.
