The 2011 Epiphone Nighthawk Custom Reissue uses a 25.5" scale (the same as a Fender Stratocaster), giving it more snap and clarity than a standard Les Paul. Three pickups: NHR mini-humbucker (neck), NSX single-coil (middle), and slanted NHT humbucker (bridge). 5-way selector and push-pull coil-splitting for nine pickup combinations. Weighs 3.1kg. Includes gig bag. Made in Indonesia.
 
The Nighthawk was introduced by Gibson in 1993 with the longer 25.5" scale, setting it apart from traditional Gibsons. The design combines the lower bout of an SG with the upper bout of a Les Paul. This 2011 reissue captures that same versatility, offering a range of tones from thick humbucker warmth to bright single-coil snap. Finished in Trans Amber.

Sound and Tone
The 25.5" scale adds snap and clarity. The 5-way switch and push-pull tone knob give you nine pickup combinations. The push-pull splits both humbuckers to single-coil mode, adding four extra tones to the five standard switch positions. The table below shows the standard five:

Feel and Playability
The 25.5" scale offers more string tension and a brighter feel than a standard Les Paul. The SlimTaper D neck is comfortable and fast.
 
Condition
Excellent. No detectable fretwear. Hardware shows light signs of use consistent with age. Minor blemishes on bottom edge, purely cosmetic. Structurally sound and fully functional.
 
Background
The original Gibson Nighthawk was produced from 1993 to 1999. Epiphone reissued the Nighthawk Custom between 2010 and 2013.
