Ryoji Matsuoka - M20 Classical - MIJ - 1984
Ryoji Matsuoka M20 Classical guitar made in Japan in 1984. Ryoji Matsuoka founded his company in 1959 after he had started making guitars following World War 2. The M20 was part of the Concert series and was handmade by Ryoji Matsuoka and his family in Nagoya. Being made for the Japanese domestic market, it’s quite rare to see one of these in such good condition outside its country of origin.
Featuring a solid spruce top with a nice tight grain. Rosewood back and sides. Mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard and bridge. Beautiful tone from this guitar, in part to the quality and aging of the wood. Really warm and inspirational, a hard one to put down.
In excellent condition for a 40+ year-old guitar. Minor bumps around the top and grazes on the back and sides. Some bucklerash on the back of the body. No fretware. Fully set up, plays very comfortably. Still has height left on the saddle.
Comes with case.
