Greco RB-700N Bass | 1977 Made in Japan
Made in Japan at the Fujigen factory. Neck-through maple construction. Maxon single-coil pickups. Near-mint condition with zero fretwear. Weighs 4kg. Includes gig bag.
The Greco RB-700N is a 1970s Japanese electric bass built at the renowned Fujigen factory and is essentially a Rickenbacker-style instrument from that era. Greco was one of the premier Japanese brands in the 1970s and early 1980s, known for high-quality Japanese craftsmanship and attention to detail long before many Western collectors rediscovered these vintage Japanese instruments.
This is an excellent example of a late 70s Greco in almost showroom condition, easily 9/10. The neck is straight and adjusts well, with zero fretwear and some beautiful figuring on the maple top. These 1970s Greco basses have a cult following among vintage Japanese instrument fans because of their strong neck-through build quality, original Japanese pickups that still sound great after decades, and maple-heavy construction that gives it a distinct tone and sustain.
