Martin D-28 - USA - 2007 - Natural

 
This 2007 Martin D-28 is in superb cosmetic condition and comes with the original Martin hard-shell case and paperwork.
 
This D-28 was built in the Martin Factory in Nazareth, USA.
 
The solid Sitka spruce top features 6-ply binding and a black scratchplate. The East Indian rosewood back and sides feature a checkered stripe and 3-ply binding. The voluted low-profile mahogany neck is finished in satin. The ebony fretboard features pearl dot inlays and has zero fret wear with a 16” radius. The headstock features the original chrome Martin machine heads. The bridge is Ebony.
 
Cosmetically, there is some very light wear on the back of the neck, a small mark on the headstock and some very light pitting on the top. It also appears to have had some binding repaired, but it has been expertly done and is hardly visible.

Professionally set up in-house, the action is nice and low with excellent playability.
 
This Martin sounds wonderful, bright, full of resonance and has plenty of volume, plus the slim tapered neck makes it a great player. It has matured beautifully in both looks and tone, and I would easily recommend it over any modern D-28 equivalent.
 
Comes in its original paperwork and moulded Martin hard-shell case with a green plush interior.
