Yamaha SL500S - MIJ - 1980 - Cherry Sunburst
This line holds a notable place in Yamaha's history, particularly as part of their efforts to create high-quality Les Paul-style instruments. The quality on display is excellent on this guitar, with the excellent build quality and attention to detail that the original Japanese Yamaha Guitars were so famous for.
Featuring a solid agathis body with a maple top. The birdseye present on the top is beautiful, it pops out stunningly. Mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and trapezoid inlays. 2 tone and two volume controls. One of the tone knobs has been replaced.
In great condition for a guitar of this age. Hardly any fretware. Some clouding on the front of the headstock. Fully setup this guitar is playing great with an awesome low action.
