Yamaha AE-12 - MIJ - 1974 - Natural
Yamaha AE-12 in excellent condition, made in Japan at the Nippon Gakki factory in 1974.
The winner of this guitar is its condition. When we discovered that this is a 50-year-old instrument, we were shocked. It’s just so clean all around with hardly any blemishes to be spotted, and hardly any fretware.
Featuring a spruce top with maple back and sides. The body, fretboard, and headstock all feature a beautiful cream binding. It’s all in pretty stunning condition. The neck is a beautiful flamed maple neck. It feels really great with a medium C profile. It’s in stunning condition with no bumps or nicks whatsoever. Rosewood fretboard with rounded parallelogram inlays.
The condition of the hardware is excellent. Only the tuners show any signs of aging. Everything else is in super sparkly condition. Also features a chrome-plated tailpiece with a tooled leather insert.
Some minor blemishes to the player’s side of the fretboard binding. Small divit in the top of the body.
The tone from this guitar is sweet, very warm, and sharp. If you’ve been angling for a quality vintage instrument in impeccable condition then this is an excellent pick!
