Cats Eyes By Tokai CE-600 - MIJ - 1975

Cat's Eyes CE-600, made in Japan 1975. Cat's Eyes were the acoustic end of Tokai's operation.

This is a beautiful dreadnought styled after the Martin D-28, with square shoulder shape and the classic spruce/rosewood tonewood combination.

Featuring a beautiful solid spruce top, with an excellent open grain.

Rosewood back and sides, with some stunning dark rich streaks on show.

Warm and dry, with an lovely top end and a wide bass. There's plenty of natural volume too, it really sings.

This is a great example of vintage japanese craftmanship, it's truely a lovely piece.

The headstock has some scuffs on the end and there some clouding of the finish all over. The back has some surface scratches on the back edge and elbow area.

Minor dimples and scuffs around the whole body, as well as scratch on the bottom. The front has some blemishes on the elbow and along the back and bottom edge.

Overall an excellent example of fine Japanese 70s acoustics, the action is nice and low, almost zero fretware.

Comes with hard case.
